What makes us different?

I think first and foremost is that we do not whitecoat your time with us. While your treatment or diagnosis will be explained in a way for you to understand it, the relationships that we endeavour to forge is that of respect and friendliness. Professionalism is mixed with appropriate fun.

Anita is wonderfully attentive and courteous to the people in front of her, and is happy to discuss options to assist your attendance with us. If an answer is not at hand, she will get back to you when she does.

From a podiatric treatment point of view, our actions speak greater than words.

Elan may be considered unusual (writing in the third person - hell, it's me typing here).

  • Elan has three University degrees:

    • Anatomy and Human Biology (covering many topics at the third year level)

    • Chiropractic Science. This is important as it allows for consideration of the whole body in terms of treatment - the lower limb is not necessarily the only focus. This allows for inclusion of spinal issues.

    • Podiatry. This 4 year course was completed in 3 years, with honours. Elan is the only graduate to have managed this feat insofar as we know.

    • While too much knowledge can be a dangerous thing, Elan's knowledge allows for a rather comprehensive treatment and discussion

  • Elan is ambidextrous.

    • Trimming nails is far more uniform being able to use both hands.

    • Better able to get into a position to treat your feet

  • Research, reading, discussing:

    • Evidence-based practice is important, but many treatments work and we don't necessarily know why.

    • We utilise traditional and cutting-edge treatments, and will discuss with you the advantages for each one.

    • We're always attending events to upskill

    • We have a wonderful brains-trust network that we can draw upon

      • We have an on-site physiotherapist and counsellor for discussing matters for a different point of view
