Admit. Apologise. Act.

Every so often, life gives you a gentle nudge to slow down. And if you ignore it, it gives you a not‑so‑gentle shove. Over the past few months, I’ve had both — professionally, personally, and even dentally.
So, first things first: I owe you an apology.
Life has been wonderfully, distractedly, chaotically busy. The kind of busy where there are too many commitments, not enough hours, and a calendar that looks like the TV Guide from the 1990s — bookended by Rage. (Yes, I tried to make a funny.)
A lot of that busyness has been meaningful: speaking at conferences on high‑intensity laser therapy and presenting The Art of Clinical Conversation — affectionately (and ironically) dubbed “Elan: Talking About Talking.” Which is amusing, considering how little talking I’ve done on my own website and social channels lately. Not that this is a major part of your care, but still — the irony is not lost on me.

Updates have appeared with all the regularity of a patient who swears they’ll stretch every day and then mysteriously forgets for six months. You know who I’m talking about.
And then there’s been the dental adventure. I won’t go into detail, but let’s just say it has been… character‑building. Hopefully, it’s nearly over.
Somewhere in the middle of all this, I realised I need to carve out more time for my kids. They’re growing fast — despite my best efforts to stop them — and I don’t want to miss the small moments that become the big memories. I have a wife somewhere, too. Our recent trip to Rottnest Island was absolutely brilliant, and with one chapter of chaos now behind us, we’re heading to Busselton for a week. A proper “I have no important or timely work” holiday. And I need it.

Conferences come and go. Emails can be answered tomorrow. Websites can be updated next week. But the opportunity to spend time with your children as they grow has a frustrating habit of refusing to be rescheduled.
As for the website: yes, it’s currently “under reconstruction” in the truest sense. We’re in the middle of a migration and update, which is why things look a little stagnant. But I’m incredibly excited about what’s coming — new content, new resources, new projects, and new ways of helping patients through Silver Podiatry and Inner Arch Orthotics.
The good news is that many of the commitments that pulled me away are now tapering off. The big projects are done. The dental saga is nearly behind me. And I’m genuinely excited about what comes next.

Fresh content. New ideas. A more reliable rhythm.I’m committed to showing up more consistently, with more clarity and more intention. Mmm buzz buzz words.
Thank you for your patience. Thank you for sticking with me.And I promise: my reliability will improve. No, really. Stop arguing with me!
